Who is pinocchio best friend

He and his sidekick Gideon are never one to turn down a job, no matter what the danger may be. Gideon Ah Gideon, the silent not so smart one of the duo. Honest John's sidekick friend shows a little less than average smarts, but some would think this is simply a guise to fool everyone into thinking he is not smart.

He is ever quick to spot a chance to seize an opportunity, and get a quick pick pocket in or swipe of something.

Lampwick Not really a bad kid, just a boy who easily gets into mischief. He befriends Pinocchio as they travel to Pleasure Island, and kind of takes a liking to him. It is not known though what may lay in store for this boy or Pinocchio. Thus, despite his overall bad behavior, Lampwick can be quite friendly with children who share his interests, becoming Pinocchio's first human friend on his life.

Despite this, Lampwick is rather disrespectful towards Jiminy Cricket, despite the fact that Jiminy was just trying to help. He can be considered a jock as he was able to shoot a pool ball from an awkward angle and somehow was able to cause the cue ball to make a group of pool balls stacked on top of each other.

However, when he realized he was becoming a donkey, he displayed absolute terror and desperation, calling for help from anyone including Jiminy and his mother.

As a human, Lampwick is a tall and slender boy immediately identifiable by his red hair and buckteeth. His outfit consists of a formal brown jacket and yellow vest with a green ascot over his white shirt, complemented by olive green pants with suspenders and a pair of brown shoes.

He also wears a bowler hat with a single feather in it. Upon turning into a donkey, he loses these and his trademark red hair. Lampwick meets Pinocchio on the Coachman's Stagecoach, and the two quickly become fast friends. Though Lampwick has never been to Pleasure Island, he has heard great things about the fun they can have there. Pinocchio and Lampwick spent their free time roughing up other boys , smoking, eating, drinking beer, and playing pool.

Lampwick was more experienced at these activities and goads Pinocchio into doing the same, such as vandalizing a model home, then praising Pinocchio when he throws a brick through a stained-glass window. At the pool hall, it becomes apparent that they seem to be the only boys left at the park, though Lampwick doesn't seem to care, and doesn't even suspect anything to be awry.

When Jiminy Cricket arrives at the island trying to convince Pinocchio to leave after scolding him for doing the wrong things again, Lampwick is quick to shoot him down, stating Pinocchio was foolish to "take orders from a grasshopper".

Jiminy is insulted, but Pinocchio defends him, saying that Lampwick is his best friend. Jiminy Cricket : [shocked] Honest John? Jiminy Cricket : [seeing Pinocchio for the first time] Good piece of wood, too. Jiminy Cricket : Now, you see, the world is full of temptations.

Pinocchio : Temptations? Jiminy Cricket : Yep, temptations. They're the wrong things that seem right at the time Jiminy Cricket : may be right at the wrong time, or visa versa. Jiminy Cricket : [clears throat] Understand? Pinocchio : [Shakes his head] Uh-uh. But I'm gonna do right. Jiminy Cricket : Atta boy, Pinoke! And I'm gonna help ya. Jiminy Cricket : [to Monstro] Hey, blubber mouth, open up!

I gotta get in there! Jiminy Cricket : [guietly] Toodle-oo, Stromboli. Pinocchio : Goodbye, Mr Stromb Jiminy Cricket : Shhh! Let's get out of here before something else happens. Lampwick : [picks up Jiminy] Hey, who's the beetle? Jiminy Cricket : Let go! Put me down!

Pinocchio : He's my conscience. He tells me what's right and wrong. Lampwick : What? You mean to tell me you take orders from a grasshopper? Jiminy Cricket : Grasshopper? Look here, you - you impudent young pup! It wouldn't hurt you to take orders from your grasshop - er, your conscience, if you have one! Jiminy Cricket : Needs a little oil. Jiminy Cricket : That's what I said. Pinocchio : [looking for Geppetto, who has been swallowed by Monstro the whale] Father!

Jiminy Cricket : Father! Uh, Mr. Jiminy Cricket : All right, then, here's what we'll tell 'em. You can't go to the theater. Say thank you just the same - you're sorry, but you've got to go to school. Pinocchio : Mmm-hmm. Foulfellow : Pinocchio! Oh, Pinocchio! Jiminy Cricket : Here they come, Pinoke. Now, you tell 'em. Foulfellow : Woo hoo!

Oh, little boy! Ah, there you are. Where were we? Ah, yes. On to the theater! Pinocchio : Good-bye, Jiminy! Jiminy Cricket : Hey, Pinoke! You can't go! There he goes. Also, I'm sure Jiminy wouldn't want to go out of his way to save lhim after he insulted him when Pinocchio said Jiminy was his concience.

All these mishaps made him look bad. If Lampwick wasn't going to school, he shouldve gotten his GED instead of going to pleasure island. I agree that His faith was cruel and unusual, but there was nothing anyone can do for him. And Pinocchio was extremely lucky he escaped when he did. Plus, I'm assuming Jiminy hating him since he mocked him and called him a grasshopper! I agree! Not a criminal at all. Just a nice kid doing bad stuff just to fit in and be "cool".

What's heartbroken is, even though Lampwick insulted Jiminy, I'm almost positive he wouldn't tried to rescue and help Lampwick because he's a kind creature with a heart and concience. But since Jiminy didn't know he was a full on Donkey and Pinocchio didn't say anything, he was just left there abandoned.

Maybe the blue fairy could have turned him back into human and Pinocchio would become a real boy instantly, after doing this doing this good deed helping a friend in need. Login Sign Up.
